Occupation: Farmer
Anna Colvin and Stukley Thornton, who had at least 2 children (Stukley, Jr., and Mary), went to Vermont. This was sometime after 1776-1777 when the family all came down with smallpox and were kept in quarantine for a month or more. Whether they had any hand in raising David Niles is doubtful. About the time Jeremiah gave David land, Stukley sold him some. Anna Colvin and Stukely Thornton were first cousins; his parents were James and Lydia (Colvin) Thornton. Lydia was Anna's aunt, the sister of Jeremiah.
